LinkedIn Premium: Is It Worth It 🤷🏻‍♂️

LinkedIn Premium Company Pages to Enhance Your Marketing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you trying to get more out of your LinkedIn company page? Have you seen that LinkedIn has new features? Are you wondering if LinkedIn's new premium features are worth the investment?

Well, in this article, you'll discover six premium features of LinkedIn for company pages and learn whether they're worth the investment for your business.

The new premium features aim to help businesses increase visibility, demonstrate credibility, and grow their follower base more effectively.

Pricing starts at ÂŁ79+ per month or ÂŁ55+ if paid annually.

The value of LinkedIn Premium Company Pages varies significantly based on your business size, budget, and goals. I STRONGLY recommend to test the ROI for your business, take advantage of the 30-day free trial to evaluate these features.

#1: Custom CTA Button

LinkedIn's premium pages now offer a prominent call-to-action button at the top of your company page. This feature was previously free but has been moved to the premium tier. While some may view this as a downgrade of the free plan (heavy Sigh) , I think the strategic placement could make it worthwhile for businesses focused on driving specific actions.

The button appears at the top of the page for maximum visibility. It lets you link off-platform with pre-configured CTAs including visit website, visit store, subscribe to newsletter, contact us, and visit portfolio.

#2: Custom Highlights Section

The custom highlights feature lets businesses showcase achievements and credentials directly on their company page. While the display size is somewhat limited, this feature provides a mechanism for social proof that wasn't previously available on company pages.

You can add text descriptions, include URLs for verification, and upload supporting images. Perfect for portfolio showcases!

So, use this tool to highlight what makes your business different by showcasing awards, certificates, and recognition… or even displaying media mentions for notable achievements.

#3: Page Visitor Insights

This feature allows page administrators to see who has visited their company page but comes with significant limitations. While promising in concept, it currently provides limited practical value due to these restrictions. For example, you can view only one visitor per day. Not great since there is actually significant insights on your personal LinkedIn pages but I’m hoping this will only be the start of more insights to come?!

Most importantly though, your page visitor must opt-in to share their visit, and if they opt out, that action applies to all company pages unless manually changed in settings. I’m not entirely sure if this is a good or bad thing, it could go both ways. If you’re testing this, let me know your thoughts I’d be keen to know more!

#4: AI-Powered Post Creation

Oh hail Skynet! Ai is everywhere now! And, LinkedIn now offers built-in AI assistance for drafting basic company page posts, but the tool provides minimal customisation options.

OF COURSE… there are other generative AI tools that currently provide better results, let’s see if Terminators take over or this feature may improve over time.

#5: Custom Testimonials

The custom testimonial feature lets your business prominently showcase social proof on its company page.

The testimonial is shown at the top of your page. You are limited to 250 characters (Feels like Twitter COUGH Sorry “X” all over again) but hey, it can include images so it’s not so bad!

While the self-input nature of testimonials might raise authenticity concerns, the prominent placement and ability to showcase key endorsements make it a valuable feature for many businesses.

Kents Top Tip: If people can see these testimonials are related to other REAL reviews left on platforms such as Google, Facebook, trust pilot etc - I think the whole “authenticity concern” won’t be a biggie so make sure they aren’t made up reviews or one’s not shown elsewhere online. It could tarnish your rep!

#6: Auto-Invites for Follower Growth

The auto-invite feature is potentially the most valuable premium feature, automatically inviting engaged visitors to follow your page. I mean, FB has had something similar for years now but it’s good that LinkedIn is following a similar road!

When activated, the tool automatically identifies users who engage with your content but don't follow your page.

This feature is expected to integrate with personal profile engagement soon and extend automatic invites to the company page for users who engage with page admins' personal content… Which, really excites me as that’s one upping FB for sure!

So…

I really hope this article has given you some great insight to LinkedIn’s new features and can help you define if it’s a worthy investment for you or not.
